At two sites from different developers there are images and countdown clocks for something to happen on Friday the 23rd. One from SEGA is a similar looking 8-bit mushroom (Mario) and the other from Marvelous Entertainment Inc. shows a Triforce logo in a triangle (Zelda). Also if you click on the mushroom on the SEGA page it makes a 1up sound and if you click the date at the bottom something is spoken in Japanese. On the Marvelous site the letters showing go to different pages that show off DS games.

Could this be a sign of other developers tackling Mario and or Zelda? Is Nintendo allowing these developers to create games based on two of their biggest properties?
