Sam & Max for Wii now available in France
`Gaming’s first sitcom` hits the stores
JoWooD Productions and Telltale, Inc. are announcing that the anticipated Wii version of “gaming’s first sitcom” is available at retail stores in France. This first-time console release brings the episodic Sam & Max series into the living room, the perfect spot for players to enjoy the series’ interactive sitcom format.
Modeled after a season of television, Sam & Max Season One is comprised of six witty episodes, showcasing award-winning writing. Players will join the irreverent dog and rabbity-thing detectives on an increasingly baffling case involving hypnosis, corrupt child stars, a batty television talk show host, the mafia, the government, the Internet, and ultimately a bizarre mysterious force behind it all. With an intuitive point and click interface and humorous, story-focused gameplay that appeals to anyone who likes a good laugh, Sam & Max for Wii is widely accessible and serves as an excellent introduction to the popular franchise.
Originally released on PC, Sam & Max Season One received a number of accolades including the Austrian Gamers’ Choice Award and Adventure Game of the Year awards from such publications as IGN, GameSpy, Onlinewelten.com, and Gamona.
This release includes fully localized English and French versions, as well as Spanish and Italian subtitles. A full German localization will follow in early 2009.
Sam & Max Season One for Wii sells for SRP €39,99 at Micromania, online via rue du commerce and many other shops.
