Home / How about that home!!

Yes, I do have a PS3 and yes I am in the Home Beta.

I had a couple minute romp though the PS3 Home beta as it stands now it is beta with a few things active at the moment. There is supposed to be something happening in the central plaza for Home tonight but I had to get out of looking around as I was getting dizzy. I think they need to work on the camera quite a bit more. Other than the camera and figuring out the the controls on how to use it its pretty slick. You get to create yourself almost down to the exact dimensions, hair style, weight and more. I would have liked a better pair of glasses but those could be purchased I assume.

Right now there is a couple of places being the Bowling Alley, Movie Theater, Mall, Central Plaza, The Music Listening stand and your apartment pad overlooking the ocean and harbor. Pretty slick - graphics are nice and in several locations videos are downloaded for you to watch. Home is pretty good and once it is out things will be quite cool. I just hope this is more than a couple years thing cause this is changing how we interact with the world. Heh, I even got an email from someone while walking around in the central plaza.

When you are walking around you see several ghostly shapes which I take is people you have not met or interacted with. Everybody has their name of their Playstation ID as their character. The Home Beta wants to reserve about 3 gigs of space so those that have the 20 gig systems you might want to upgrade the HD if you have not.
