This video is from Game Videos but for some reason Game Videos doesn’t work for me or this site. Eidos is taking Death Jr. further than Konami in my view.

Rubik’s Cube Facts
In 1980, the Rubik’s Cube, was launched on an unsuspecting world with a Hollywood party hosted by the “other” famous Hungarian Zsa Zsa Gabor little did anyone know it would become the world’s biggest-selling puzzle. Today it looks the same, it works the same and it’s still incredibly popular. So iconic did the puzzle become that it earned a place in New York’s Museum of Modern Art, and its own entry in the Oxford English Dictionary; not to mention worldwide sales exceeding 300 million copies. Rubik’s Cube has featured in major movies, ad campaigns, generated huge sales of T-shirts and apparel, been used as an iconic image for lottery games and scratch cards and along with the brand’s other 3D twisting puzzles still generates a huge amount of public interest, recognition and affection.

Overlord Raising Hell Teaser Video

This is not a Nintendo system product but I find the game to be pretty interesting. Looks like a game created by Rare and also looks like Kameo but on the darker side. The game is created by Triumph Studios published by Codemasters.

A testament to how out of touch Nintendo is…

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

The text below is taken from a Nintendo Wii Fanboy interview with Johnny Lee. How could Nintendo not take notice of Johnny Lee and offer him a job? Or rather, how could they not offer him a job… because they have taken notice, everyone knows about him.

NWF: Well, on behalf of our staff, and all of our readers, everyone wishes you the best of luck and probably thinks that, out of everybody in the world, you shouldn’t need much of that luck. I’m surprised you even had to search for a job.

JL: Well, it’s actually been a pretty easy search, and I had a lot of opportunities I didn’t even ask for. And oddly enough, Nintendo was not among them. Nintendo never contacted me.

NWF: Never contacted you at all?

JL: Nope. It’s okay. I don’t think I’d actually want to work solely at Nintendo. I have a pretty diverse set of interests, only some of which are relevant to gaming, so working at a gaming company isn’t very interesting to me.

Better games are coming

Other things that are alarming in that same interview is when he mentions that one of the reasons why we aren’t seeing that many wii games that uses the wiimote to its fullest potential is because Nintendo, more or less don’t allow it.

if it requires too much movement on the player’s part, Nintendo asks them to pull it. There are all these internal guidelines they have to conform to that prevent them from doing anything too — I hate using the term “outside the box,” but this is a box that has been defined by Nintendo and they literally can’t step out of it.
