Home » Capcom are listening.. So at least shout louder.
I read not so long ago about Capcom announcing ‘We love Golf’ (formerly ‘wii’ love golf), they are developing it in co-operation with Camelot who are well known for having developed Mario golf titles, as well as Hot shots golf. What’s significant about this, is that it’s Capcom’s first foray into developing sports titles.. luckily they couldn’t have a much better guiding hand than Camelot. Anyway, enough about golf, when we hear the name ‘CAPCOM’, we think of ‘Capsule Computers’ right? Hmmn, no - usually ‘Resident Evil’.. or more specifically; ”when the **** are Capcom gonna make a proper Resi title for Wii!?”
While Umbrella chronicles will no doubt fulfill its role as a demonstrative device for promoting the ‘Wii Zapper’ attachment, and Zack & Wiki looks set to be a fresh and challenging little title - there’s still the crowd of RE4 punters who’ve finished the Wii rendition of Re4. These gamers - myself included, are wondering to themselves why Capcom isn’t making a new RE title based around an upgraded RE4 engine, especially as the controls work so flawlessly and genuinely enhanced the gameplay.
Capcom - ever the provocative type, accompanied the golfing announcement just mentioned, with a vociferous tease, highlighting that the sales for RE4 Wii edition were over 750,000 at the end of August. Not only this, but they made comment upon the Wii’s hardware sales (that Wii is numero uno).. So, at least we know Capcom are taking some notice, and since their ear is to the ground, their fingers on the pulse - we should shout and have a heart attack constantly - until we get what we want need.
Sign the petition for RE5 on Wii (though unlikely it shows we want a real RE on wii regardless..) here

Well, I think Capcom should make Resident Evil in three ways. One, would be the RE4 style with an action oriented focus rather than solve this puzzle, shoot a zombie, solve this puzzle, kill boss, solve puzzle. Two, the Arcade “House of the Dead” Style or like Umbrella Chronicles with the Zapper. On the other hand, three, a combination of the two ideas into a massive game.
